FAQ Daycare
What is needed for my dog to attend daycare?
Your dog needs to be current on ~age appropriate~ rabies, bordetella and distemper and be current on flea/tick and heart worm medications. Vaccinations need to be sent in to coopercreekkennelsia@gmail.com before their eval and daycare application/waiver signed online or on paper. Dogs must be at least 4 months old and spayed or neutered if over 6 months. They will be temperament tested individually during their eval to be out in the play groups. If the dog shows signs of aggression or intense fear they will be let out individually or we will call for them to be picked up.
How does daycare work?
Daycare dogs play in the play areas off leash where they are monitored by our kennel attendants. They are separated in groups by size and energy level, typically the groups rotate each hour and they go into their own kennels for a 2 hour nap time to eat lunch. Then they go back into rotation until pickup. Dogs may go inside the indoor or kennel area during the day if the weather is bad. Depending on weather, amount of dogs, ages, sizes, temperaments and more, dogs are either out until nap time and then until pick up or they are rotated in groups every 1/2 hour to hour.
What are the hours for daycare drop offs and pickups?
Drop off/pickup times for daycare are made by appointment between
7-10AM, 3-6:30PM M-F
8-10AM, 4-6:30PM Saturday
Closed for daycare on Sundays
Earlier drop offs must be arranged prior.
Can you bathe my dog before it goes home? And are there any extra things they can get?
Yes we can bathe and trim your dogs nails before it goes home as long as we know ahead of time. They can also get dental chews and buffalo horns for in their kennels at nap times and extra walks, cuddle times or individual playtimes added on during the day. We can also set them up for Daytrain 2x a week.
Will my dog freeze if it's cold or be inside all day if it's rainy?
No. If your dog is cold they have access to go inside when needed. The dogs are rotated in and out of heated areas all day- every 1/2 hour to hour normally- more so in bad weather. They have a heated indoor play area we can use for bad weather and they take at least a 2 hour nap in a heated area with blankets. Rain does not normally effect our day that much other than muddy feet!

How do I fill out an application for daycare or boarding and sign the waiver?
You can fill out the info online by creating a login by clicking "Login or Make an account" at the top of the page. The daycare and boarding application can also be printed out from the "Kennel Policies" page.
How can I check for available days for daycare?
Click Login/make account on the top right of the page and it will take you to a login page. Here, without logging in, you can select your dates and check for availability for daycare. If we do have spots open, you can make your appointment right then, you must have a valid eval done prior. Boarding has been moved to message/call only, it will not be up on the site.
